Tessa Khan is a lawyer and campaigner and the founder and Executive Director of Uplift, an organisation that works towards a just transition away from oil and gas in the UK. Before founding Uplift, she was co-founder and Co-Director of the Climate Litigation Network, which supports strategic litigation around the world.
Her writing has been published in international media outlets and academic publications, and she has been invited to address the United Nations and events convened by the Financial Times, the Economist, and TED.
She is also a regular media commentator. In 2019, she was named by TIME magazine as one of fifteen women leading the fight against climate change. Tessa is also a recipient of a Climate Breakthrough award, the largest climate action grant for individuals.
