on the climate and nature crisis
*Our new film presented by Chris Packham is out now.
The climate & nature crisis threatens all aspects of British life from national security to food supply, but solutions exist.
The National Emergency Briefing was commissioned to present the latest evidence, and build an irresistible call for the Government to stage a televised emergency briefing, the essential first step towards the WW2-scale response now required.

The Westminster Briefing
Last November, ten of the UK’s leading experts briefed an invited audience of over 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media.
The briefing set out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for health, food systems, national security and the economy.
Taking it nationwide

"Our faith compels us to speak up on matters of justice and morality and by joining this initiative we can play our part in calling for the government to take the action that is urgently needed”
Rt Rev John Arnold, Bishop of Salford
The People's Emergency Briefing film
A full documentary from the briefing is now being shown across the UK. It brings together the science and national implications in one compelling film.
The film is designed for communities to watch together with their MP and other local decision makers - to see the same evidence - on the record - as those briefed in Westminster.
Endorsements

Lord Deben
Former chair, UK Climate Change Committee - 2012 to 2023
“The National Emergency Briefing could not be more timely. The science is moving fast, and every year the risks become clearer. Britain has led before, and we must lead again - not with words, but with action to protect our people, our prosperity and our children’s future. But first, all policymakers must ensure they are fully informed."

Professor Joanna Haigh CBE
Former president of the Royal Meteorological Society, Professor of Atmospheric Physics and Head of the Department of Physics at Imperial College London
“We face a climate emergency. MPs need to be awake to the risks and ready for action, which is why I ask them to prioritise attending a local screening of the People's Emergency Briefing film."

Professor Michael Mann
Presidential Distinguished Professor in the Department of Earth & Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania
"I urge all policymakers to engage with this critically important scientific advice. I’d like to see a National Emergency Briefing in every country."
